Before any exterior painting begins, our process begins by making sure all windows are closed. As funny as that sounds we don’t want any water or dust to get into your home. We then begin by power washing and surface cleaning to remove dirt, chalking, and mildew. From there, we handle scraping, sanding, and minor repairs. We then finish with professional caulking and priming to seal gaps and ensure proper adhesion.

We’ve seen homes go almost 15 years before being repainted but this question is very situational. Darker colors fade faster than lighter colors due to increase UV absorption. The positioning of your home also matters, lets say the entrance of your home is west facing, you’ll notice the paint wears faster on that wall due to longer sun exposure. We recommend homes get painted at least every 7-12 years, but this timing depends on the factors listed above and much more.
