Verdi's Conditions
Verdi sits around 4,900 feet, a step up from Reno, right where the mountains meet the valley. Much of the housing is new: a big share of homes in the 89439 zip were built in just the last few years. New wood siding and decks need their first stain coats done right, and early, to set them up for the long run.
New construction
On a newer home, the first maintenance coat on wood siding and decks sets up how well the wood holds up for years.
Sun and wind
Open lots at the foot of the Sierra take full sun and the afternoon wind off the mountains.

Verdi Painting Questions
When should a new home in Verdi get its first stain coat?
Watch the water. When it stops beading on the siding or deck, the finish is wearing through and it's time. On a newer home, that's often sooner than owners expect.
